We met in the third year of our undergraduate degrees and have been best friends ever since. Our podcast is for anyone who is interested in discovering more about the classical music sphere and isn't afraid of intimate, involved anecdotes.

Partnered with the Flute Center of New York, Joanna creates livestreams and videos of flute reviews for her YouTube channel, JustAnotherFlutist, of over 45,000 subscribers. She livestreams every practice session she has had since early 2019 on Twitch and enjoys teaching the flute privately to an online studio of students from around the world. Most of all, Joanna loves connecting with other musicians, no matter their skill level, and creating communities that foster a safe environment for thoughtful musical dialogues and discussions.

Joanna holds a master's degree in flute performance from San Francisco State University and previously graduated with a bachelor of music in flute performance from the University of British Columbia, where she met her best friend Carrie.

A freelance orchestral bassoonist, Carrie is an extra-musician with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and also plays with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and Postmodern Camerata, and has played with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and Kamloops Symphony. She teaches bassoon and piano, offering in-person or online lessons, and welcomes learners of all ages and levels. Passionate about connecting with people in more ways than one, Carrie also works in communications and marketing at the Vancouver Academy of Music.

Carrie holds a master's and bachelor's degree of music in bassoon performance from the Royal College of Music (London, UK) and the University of British Columbia (where she and Joanna first became best friends), respectively, and is a recent master's of science in communications graduate from Purdue University.
